In 1994, Taurus moved into the .45 ACP medium-frame pistol market with its PT945. The Commander-sized PT945 features a loaded chamber indicator in addition to Taurus' proprietary security system, which was the first in the industry to be integrated into the design of the handgun itself.
The gun I now carry came with a spare magazine and is the same size when laid on top of a Walther, but is a little fatter, and heavier when loaded. It is the sub-compact Taurus PT145 Millennium Pro. Easy-Peasy. First remove the extractor by driving the pin out. That pin has a head so it is removed from inside the slide to outside, see below schematic #4. Once the extractor is out, you simply depress the firing pin block and pull the firing pin out. jwc007 and DeltaBravoKS.

This is both cast lead 200gr SWC and 200gr Hornady XTPs.When I do my part groups run 3" at 25 yds. After 5,000 rounds the trigger spring broke.Taurus PT945. Taurus "Millenium"-series autos are made of plastic and do, indeed, seem to be pretty crappy. The "Millenium"-series, however, has about as much in common with other Taurus autos as the Colt AA2000 does with the 1911. PT-945 is a fine gun and a good "Poor Man's P-220". "Finest Pistol In The World", however, it most certainly is not. _____
