I doubt Walmart would have anything super secure, but if your bike isn't too expensive and theft rates are low then you're probably fine. I'd still stay away from cable locks - they can be cut very easily. A solid U-bar is much better. A bad lock is better than no lock. Get a lock according to your insurance policy.
