Crossing the border to Imperial Beach. Back in the day I observed kids playing soccer on the Mexican side run through the fence and back chasing their ball, under the watchful eye of the Border Patrol. No problem. Lots of adults holding hands through fence, having picnics, too. It was nice to see.
