Hi everyone this is my 4th pregnancy and I went to my 38wk appt today..no progression since my last appt since I am only 1cm dilated and was told my cervix is still long/thick. Jul 31, 2019 at 9:24 PM. If baby is engaged it’s normal to feel lots of pressure. It’s ok to be 4cm without contractions or pain. My last 3 I was 3-4 until labor actually started. You will likely know when. But you will most likely have a very fast delivery so be prepared for it. You can go from 1-100 quickly.
