Recently, we made a trip to a former Atlas D missile site located near Arlington, NE. Closed in the mid-60’s, the site is due for a cleanup of toxic chemicals starting next summer. The cleanup is scheduled to take about 10 years at a cost of $6.5 million. The main toxic contaminant is tricloroethene.
