I took the UIM off and have taken all the bolts of the LIM out but I cannot get it to break loose. I have tapped it with a rubber mallet and used a prybar under the thermostat area.1) disconnect the ECT. 2) connect resistances 1400, 93, and 55 ohms in turn and observe guage. 3) guage should read min, mid, and max temperature. This tested out just fine. 1400 ohms is for 40°C, and the min in the guage is 40°C. 93 ohms is for 120°C, and the exact mid positon is 120°C. Hi have an na l36 and im planning on replacing upper and lower intake gaskets. I have the metal LIM gaskets also. Do i need to lube or seal the lower or upper gasket surfaces with anything at all? Also the bolts that hold down the lower intake manifold, do i need to put any loctite on them? You can always take off the dog bones then while in park rock the car back and fourth until the engine rocks forward then hit the ebrake. That will lock it in place until you release the ebrake.
