The shudder should be resolved on 2020 and newer. The new trans fluid seems to fix almost all of them depending on converter damage or not. The shifting can be programing in the TCM, There is a relearn process for the 8l45.

If it's a drain and fill then the $300 is on-par. If it's $450 then I would make doubly sure it's a fluid exchange.
