In smaller towns that are remote the speeds will be slower. Go into airplane mode leaving port to avoid potential cellular roaming charges from the ship cell tower. You will have ATT service at Alaska port stops. You may even have ATT service while at sea between port stops since the ship tends to stay very close to land.
