Bites aren't the only way to get the Knox Virus. Scratches and lacerations caused by zombies can infect you too. Scratches with 7% and lacerations with 25%.

Try not to fight more than 2 zeds at the same time. If more come at you, pull out or try to split them up using obstacles such as fences, trees, houses or cars. Build a character with traits with bonus exp for axes, long blunt or even short blunts. Helps you speed up weapon mastery.
