The highest passing score in UBE jurisdictions is 280 (Alaska). That said, there are many UBE jurisdictions, like South Carolina, New York, New Jersey, and Montana, that will accept a minimum passing score of 266. A score of 280 on the UBE corresponds to the 73rd percentile, a score of 300 to the 90th, and a score of 330 to the top 1% of all ...But the percentiles are still useful IMO. If you are scoring 36.1 percentile on CivPro, you are probably leaving "points on the table" - i.e., "gettable" questions that most of the other takers are getting correct. tl;dr - You need to maximize your points. Percentiles can help you see where you have more room to improve compared to your peers.

I know the UBE is scored out of 400, and JD advising says “A 330 is the top percentile (99th percentile)”. ... There is really only a limited type of questions they could ask you on the MBE. Eventually I was consistently getting 80-85% of the answers correctly. I studied just the bare minimum for MEE (around 3 days in total).
