I am a Ford guy so used to I on the 5.4's. My truck is down right now so I borrowed my buddies 2010 Ram 2500 with the 5.7 and it sounds just like this on cold start due to a leaking manifold. I work on 5.7 Hemi Chargers 5 days a week so I know the difference between the (present from the factory) Hemi Lifter Tick and the Manifold Leak noise.

I did some testing and here is what I found out. 1) Clicks x times per rotation of the tire so if I'm going slower there are fewer clicks and if I go faster there is more in a shorter time spaced. 2) Will go away immediately if I even touch the brakes.
