Introduction. This document sets out the approved policy for managing the Royal Mail’s Inland Compensation provisions for retail services for loss. Royal Mail’s retail policy excludes items posted on account (except VAT exempt 1st and 2nd Class payable on account) which are subject to separate terms for loss, damage and delay compensation.
