Junior Achievement was founded in 1919 by Theodore Vail, president of American Telephone & Telegraph; Horace Moses, president of Strathmore Paper Co.; and Senator Murray Crane of Massachusetts. Each year, our network of over 450,000 volunteers serves more than 10 million students in over 100 countries.The programme provides teachers with a series of learning-by-doing business, economics and entrepreneurship activities, a great way to help students succeed in a global economy. In 2017-2018 school year, over 350,000 students enrolled in the programme across the 40 JA organisations in Europe that offer it.
