The M14 is no different.. AS long as the original firearm receiver has been properly "destroyed" it is now just a piece of metal.. No different than any other piece of metal used to create LRB receivers, or a piece of aluminum to make a AR15 lower.

I bought 3 of them when they first came out, with custom serial numbers. I also helped some of my friends get theirs ordered with custom numbers as well.
