There is an easier procedure that totally disables the Auto-high beam part of the auto headlight system. I used it because I found it took the van too long to auto dim the high beams, and I was blinding other drivers. Procedure to turn off auto-high beam is in the manual, you pull back flash to pass for 40 seconds or so.

Now, open the door with the engine running, close the door and walk away with the fob. The vehicle will yell at you and the display will change to No Key. We usually lock the doors using the lock/unlock switches on the doors (and the drivers side door button). This usually works well, and locks the van. The problem we're noticing is that when using the lock/unlock (and sometimes the keyfob), the ONLY door is the rear drivers sliding door.
