Last May (2018) the driver's side A/C vents were blowing HOT air while the passenger side was blowing COLD air (we live in Florida, so use A/C practically year 'round). Did a lot of looking at the actuator door device, but didn't see a problem. Someone online suggested that the FREON may be low.The problem is your Driver's Air mix control motor. If the "Heater Control Valve" is stuck open, both side would've been blowing hot. You can try disconnecting the connector to the motor and plugging it back. I put both sides to low (on dual mode) and left side was barely cold and right was cold (for a honda that is).
