Yep, the runes you get are mostly 5*. However, that can be enough - especially in slot 1, slot one runes can be trash for tricaru - although ideally you want speed/acc, and then later on ATK/CR/etc. And blue 6 star determination DEF% runes are almost always usable in this context if you get them (and I got 1-2 generally).3301 total defense - 736 for the base defense of Tricaru = 2,565. 2,565 remaining defense - 36.8 from the 5% bonus defense in Cairos (Guild Buff lv25) 2,528.2 remaining defense - 1,751 from maxed 6* slots 2/3/4/6 + 2 artifacts. 777.2 is the real number we have to hit from either using determination sets, guard sets, defense tower, from bonus ...So if you have 2 icarus built accuracy with the tmog while your 2a one is built full attack, youll have a more consistent clear time in waves. Your only source of DPS is from verde. Only problem I see is when the boss hits and the gargoyle goes below 70% so he doesn't transform anymore. Could be alleviated with a bit of tankiness. Statue form reduces incoming damage further by 30%. What's really nice is it makes the rune requirements for this team much lower. Avg time is between 1:20 and 1:25.

The rune requirements for a basic tricaru team isn't that high. You just need your defense tower at something other than +0 and to farm guard runes. Determination/fight if you can but not necessary. Non budget is doing God mode twins runes. But with the large range of rune quality you can have icarus on, tricaru is the budget and the end game team. Discussion. I took it to non-repeat and just ran through it on manual only using skill 2. I get through trash waves and mis boss okay, and when I get to boss all cool downs are up and ready.

Unless you have Determination runes with 63% DEF main stat, it only makes sense (to me) to put ONE set (2 runes) on odd slots of each Icaru. A total of 3 sets. Highest def is from 63% DEF main stat on all three of slots 2,4,6.
