My Trane XE 1200 runs continously even if I set the thermostat to off. Hello what has probably happened is the contactor has welded itself shut. So , turn off power to the outdoor and indoor unit. Take the control cover off the outdoor unit and look for the contactor. See photo below push on the plunger in the middle it is probably stuck.Trane XE 1200.
