The quest itself had a few bugs in it that are still not resolved despite it being months old. There is a part of the quest that is so vague that I had to look the quest up just to see the next stop. The markers don't work on some parts of the quest and you are left ... If the quest does not start, continue to step 3. Reload save and go around, avoiding the farm completely, and go to the Inn at Rorikstead. Make any followers and/or pets wait or dismiss them at the Inn and create a new save. Restart your PS4, yes restart the console, and load your new save. Approach the farm by yourself and battle the ghost.
