Glenfield 30a vs marlin 336.
Oct 2, 2022 · The Glenfield 30A was produced from around 1971/1972 to about 1981/1982 when it became the Marlin Mod 30AS. They are a quality Marlin made under the Glenfield name. They have the hardwood stocks, end cap and one barrel band, dovetailed front sight, and a non-folding rear sight---the rest of the rifle is pretty much the same as the Mod 336.

Hello, this is my JM stamped Glenfield 30A which is basically a Marlin 336 but with a cheaper stock and its in great condition. By my research it was made in 1973 based on the serial number. There is still plenty of rifling left so it hasn't been used that much. It comes with a Japanese made scope that is Glenfield branded and is very clear.

When I Run Factory ammo over my Chrony they are all Close the Marlin is on average 30fps faster than the 94 the 788 with it's 22' Barrel is 30 fps faster than the 30 Glenfeild Marlin.
