If you want inertia and are just starting out, the Affinity 3 or the Benelli M2 are the 2 I recommend most. For gas guns, the A400 is the top contender imo.

Hi been to my local dealer to look at the benelli M2 and the franchi affinity the franchi is a lot less money than the benelli, but the chap said they are literally the same gun, same factory, same parts etc etc it’s just the benelli feels a lot different to me, feels like it swings better maybe it’s just the forend etc

The matte version knocks $100 off of MSRP. Just like the 12 gauge, the trigger of this Affinity 20 breaks right at 4-1/2 pounds, very good for a field autoloader and better than most. The weight of the gun is misrepresented. The Affinity 20 actually weighs 6 lbs. on the nose, unloaded, not the claimed 5.6 lbs.

The have crazy POI issues due to redesigned recoil reducing chevrons in the stocks. It is a design flaw that benelli refuses to address. A bunch of us had them - were missing birds like crazy and ended up dumping them after reading about this.
