The different dimensions of the grips are front-to-back only, the width of the grips are the same. There is no difference in the dimensions of the magazine cavity or mag catch mechanism, the G30 and G30SF use the same mags. I've had both the 21 and the SF, as well as the 30 and SF. Aside from the way they fit my hand, I could find no difference. Accuracy and reliability are on par throughout the four. The 30 does shoot softer than the 27 and also affords you the benefit of a full grip. The 36 isn't bad either. It has slightly more felt recoil than the 30 due to lighter slide and thinner grip. A Wolff reduced power spring kit, and at 4#minus , I usually am about 3-1/2# after 2000 rounds of use.

The 30sf had a slightly smaller grip size, front to rear, then the 30 to help folks with smaller hands, like me, but that was before the gen4 came out. I read somewhere that the 30 Gen4 had the sf frame. If that's correct then that would make the 30 Gen4 exactly the same pistol as the 30sf.
