Mark the order that they come off the pump, this will prevent a major headache when you put them back on. Then pull the injectors out. The easiest way is with a slide hammer.If it is a two speed, it will have a snap ring retaining the removable shaft in the bearing housing which is fairly obvious, along with a flat spot on the O.D. of the shaft near the snap ring. Single speed output shaft and bearing/seal retainer will be nearly identical to your 5000. Definatly watch the coolant and inj. pump oil, as Rod said. Shifting problems are generally either linkage wear/adjustment issues or shifing forks bent/broken.
