Comcast pixelation problems 2023.
pixalation making DVR playback unwatchable. Closed. Pixelation/sound drop/freeze has been happening for a while. Had the X1 HDR box replaced a few weeks back and had no effect. Seems to only be on DVR playback. Tech was out yesterday and checked the line at the X1 box for noise (pre and post) but saw none, he also did the same at the street box.
But Basically an engineer came out and changed the V6 box as we had had it since 2017 and as I presumed it was the Hard Drive. Also the engineer changed the coaxial cable going into the box as he said we had older type cable and can cause the pixelating. I assume all the equipment in the TV path is Comcast. In some of it is your own equipment then you may have some tests you can perform. Good luck. As FYI -- Comcast does what it can to test before roll outs. Stuff unfortunately happens. There Are crowd-sourced tools that may be able to help you see if others are seeing the same issue.
