The big one I recall is multi-hit was enabled in survivor. It looks like rear vulnerability is set to low and zombie strength is set to weak also. You should be able to check the exact settings differences by going into sandbox and selecting your saved sandbox presets dropdown at the bottom. The core playmode baselines are there also. < >

There are no NPC's anymore in vanilla, HOWEVER, there is a mod you can get that adds NPCs to the game. Multiplayer is available but it's outdated in an old build. THe latest build should recieve MP by the end of the year I've heard. Superb survivors adds npcs. Not perfect but it'll definitely scratch that itch.Go to settings, click supersurvivor tab. Then tweak your settings to way you want. If you don't want ppl to have unlimited ammo, then turn it off. If you want less maniacs shooting guns, then tweak percentage of survivors who spawn with guns. You really just needed to take few minutes and play around with interfaces.
