I went to the dealer (Desert Motorsports in Scottsdale, AZ.) and bought a 16510-29F00 for $10.00. It can be either the starter solenoid or the switch to activate it. One way to test the solenoid is to put a jumper across the main (larger) wires. It will spark a little when doing that, but that bi-passed the solenoid and should turn the starter. Maybe lower octane will make a little more power like 1 or 2 hp, IF it dosn't detonate and ruin your motor. I only use 93 or 92 octane in all my single cylinder 4 strokes. With my 2-stroke jet skis which burn way more gas, I check the compression 140 psi gets regular 150psi to 170psi gets premium.
